Where’s the beef? Why we aren’t out of the woods in US-EU trade talks just yet

On August 2nd, the US and the EU announced a trade deal. The two parties have been locked in discussions since Jean-Claude Juncker and Donald Trump agreed to work towards a free trade agreement in 2018. But on Friday, the EU agreed to buy 45,000 tonnes more hormone-free beef from outside of the EU over the next seven years. Around 80% of this beef will come from the US.
