UK MPs will vote on Brexit alternatives.

April 1

UK MPs will vote on Brexit alternatives. It would be disingenuous to
predict what the outcome may be as all options are on the table, including a fourth vote on
Theresa May’s deal, a Parliamentary majority for a second referendum, a majority in favour
of a Customs Union relationship with the EU, Theresa May calling a no-confidence vote in
her own government and a no deal Brexit. Importantly the government is not bound to
accept the indicative vote outcome and this in itself may split the Conservative party: if the
government does not accept indicative votes that indicate a preference for a Customs
Union, then it is likely that there will be a raft of Ministerial resignations.
